Secluded Yurt Rental near Bobcat Pass in Red River, New Mexico
This secluded yurt is located near Bobcat Pass and the Carson National Forest in Red River, New Mexico. It can accommodate six guests. The yurt has a diameter of 20 feet. There are four twin beds and two futon/sofa beds. Guests need to bring their own sleeping bags and bedding. There is an outhouse.
This yurt near Bobcat Pass has a kitchen area with cooking supplies and a cook stove for the chef of the group to prepare some delicious snacks. Guests can enjoy the meals at the dining table with ample seating space. Other amenities include a wood stove with firewood, a gas lantern, and cell service for emergencies.
Outside, guests will discover the beauty and solitude of a wooded location that includes hiking and biking trails and spectacular views of the New Mexico landscape. It is a 2.25-mile hike (or bike) to the Yurt, no driving.
A true rustic getaway, this yurt sits in a secluded spot of land near Red River. Guests can really get away from it all, as there is no vehicle access. Foot and pedal power are all that's needed to access this peaceful place. A cell signal is available in case of emergencies.
In summer guests can either hike or bike to property.
In winter guests have to ski or snowshoe to property and purchase a trail pass, which can be purchased in the Base Lodge upon arrival. Depending on your fitness level, It is a 1.25-mile moderate hike (or bike). The host provides a wagon (bed dimensions measure 36-inches by 20-inches) for your gear (at around 9,800 feet, a heavy load can make the hike more strenuous) or you can pay $50 for gear delivery (includes drop-off and pick-up).

Guests must supply their own bedding and sleeping bags. In summer, sleeping bags rated for 30 degrees are recommended.
Guests will want to pack lightly, as they have to hike to the yurt.

The hosts can drive guests´ gear out to yurt via a 4x4 side-by-side for an extra $50 (snowmobile in winter). Gear delivery needs to be arranged ahead of time. Guests can call or email host once the booking is confirmed.
