This secluded cottage near Owenton in the north of Kentucky can accommodate up to ten guests. There are four bedrooms in this property with various sizes of beds. Along with the bedrooms, there are two fully equipped bathrooms for the guests in this property to share. There is a half-bath on the first floor. Included in the cottage is a well-appointed kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, cooking utensils and fridge. Also included is a dining room, library with a good selection of books and a living room. The living room contains a television with a DVD player. Outside of this cottage is a small cabin and a large pavilion perfect for eating and relaxing outside under or even to host a wedding.

This property comes with an abundance of facilities including a full-size, eat-in kitchen and fireplace with all the amenities needed to cook a culinary masterpiece, dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a library with television and a DVD and CD player. Other electrical amenities include air conditioning, heat, dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer, ironing board, iron, curling iron and blow dryer. Outside there is the Cook's cabin, which houses one queen-size bed with rustic heating and air conditioning a Pavilion with picnic tables for guests to relax on, corn hole boards provided. There are also two outdoor cooking spots. Both wood burning or charcoal. For the latter, uests will have to bring their own coal. Sitting around the open fire munching on a warm s'more is the perfect ending to the day!

This property was built in 1850. Once a viable Peach Plantation, it is located on the National Historial Registry. It is also a working cattle farm. With full amenities. Located on the Kentucky River you will also have access to kayaks and paddle boards. With wonderful hiking trails on 240 acres. Centrally located 1 hour from Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati in Owenton, Kentucky. This location allows guest to access several airports; Blue Grass Airport in Lexington (LEX), Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), or Louisville International Airport (SDF). The property is secluded on a peninsula so that, you feel further away than you actually are! Various activities can include, chartered bow-fishing, fishing, and kayaking excursions, as well as guided hunting deer and turkey. Personal boats are allowed at the dock. Roughly, 24 miles north of this beautiful location is where the Kentucky River meets the enormous Ohio river!

Owen County is a haven for lovers of the great outdoors! Creating memories that last a lifetime, the Kentucky river provides a range of activities for guests to partake in. Guests can take a dinner cruise, in which they can book through Rockin Thunder or call Captain Janet at 812-701-1155. Provided are kayaks and paddleboards on the river. This property has a couple of fishing poles available; however, a real angler will want to bring their own gear, fishing on the Kentucky River and a six-acre stocked lake.

Guests are welcome to trailer their own boats and tie up at the 14-foot dock. There are numerous trails on the 240 acres, as well as another 300 acres located in the adjacent Wildlife Management Area. Once finished exploring the property, guests should take a car and discover the rest of Owen County. Owenton is home to the largest winery in Kentucky, Elk Creek Vineyards.

This property has a charming historical downtown area with several shops including gift shops, boutiques, and antiques, as well as multiple restaurants. This property also has a farmers market, located in pavilion behind Farm Bureau on 127 North and open Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, between May and November. There is a visitors center located at the corner of 127 North and Seminary Street, where guests can pick up brochures on other local attractions.

For glampers wishing to hunt or bow fish, they must receive a hunting license and a permit by booking through Blue Wing or call William at 513-535-7292.

The hosts ask that guests respect the unique charm and history of this property. Pets are not allowed in the main house or cabins as some people have allergies. Guests can keep them outside or in a crate on the back porch. The crate is provided upon request.

No smoking inside any structure. If necessary, guests are asked to smoke at the fire pit as it would be far less likely to start a house or wild fire.

No ATV's or horses are allowed due to liability issues.
