Located in northern Texas, Pilot Point was established in 1853 by a surveyor and earlier settlers. It’s now well known for its horse ranches, and several national and international competitors are from here or were trained here. Just to the west lies Lake Ray Roberts and Ray Roberts Lake State Park. This is a great place to wander the trails on foot, mountain bike, or on horseback. Spend the day enjoying the scenery and taking a picnic. Follow along the Red River for other great hikes, and jump in when the summer sun gets too warm.
