Set in the Texas Hill Country between Boerne and Bandera Texas (and 45 minutes from the San Antonio Riverwalk), this charming, hand-crafted tiny house with panoramic windows makes the perfect getaway for two. Inside, this light, bright tiny house features an open layout. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with space for storage underneath. The private bathroom offers a regular five foot bathtub, designer sink, and Laveo dry-flush toilet, and it is beautiful as well as very functional. Plush linens, bath towels, soap, and shampoo, are provided.

The kitchen has a maple table and chairs for two, a microwave, koerig coffeemaker, dishes, glasses, silverware, and designer sink but no stove (only a microwave to warm food). There is also a stainless steel half-size fridge to hold any extras guests choose to bring or local restaurant leftovers. Other amenities include a hairdryer, free outside broadband Wi-Fi, big windows to watch the sun go down, and climate-controlled air conditioning and heating. There's tons of light in this special edition tiny house, but it also comes with honeycomb designer shades on all the windows for extra privacy if desired.

Outdoors, there are a pair of comfy adirondack chairs beside a fire pit and guests are always welcome to take a short walk to access the communal raised deck with outdoor dining table and chairs. There's also a short secret path to explore along the ridge of the hill that offers more beautiful hilltop views. It's highly recommended that guests wear good shoes.

The property sits on 9.75 beautiful acres and it offers three available rental units (a glamping tent, a tiny house, and a private guest house), which have a lot of space between them to ensure that all guests get the privacy they are looking for. The hosts live on the property, too, which means guests are well taken care of. Each unit has their own private fire pit area and is visually hidden from one another when sitting outdoors.

The relaxation/massage room has a comfortable leather reading chair, a small table and chairs, and a wellness library. On this property, there is also an exercise/creativity/art studio that glampers can access. The use of the full-body vibration machine and rowing machine in this area are free to all too.

Wi-Fi is provided, and the hosts are on site should guests need anything special.

Guests' stay here can also include an optional artisan breakfast every morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (time to be specified upon arrival) using locally sourced eggs and organics when available. The hosts are happy to adapt to guests dietary needs and gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, Paleo, Kosher, Keto, and vegans are all welcome here. Sorry, no children or pets are allowed (21 or older please), due to the property being located on rocky, unlevel terrain with stone walk paths, they are not disability-friendly for those with mobile disabilities. However, other than those stipulations, all glampers are welcome.

Last but not least, guests must let the host know if they have special dietary needs when making a reservation. Breakfast is generally served outdoors al fresco, weather permitting, on the deck attached to the host's house overlooking the hills and valley. A typical breakfast includes fresh berries or other seasonal fruit, locally-sourced eggs (used in a quiche, waffles, or our signature eggs rochelle with spinach), waffles, the hosts' specialty French toast or crepes, plus bacon, sausage (vegan or chicken options), mushrooms or potatoes, as well as juice and, of course, coffee or tea.

The cost for breakfast is $20 (for one to two people and paid by cash) or $22 (if paid by credit card). It is served al fresco (i.e. out on the host's deck area that overlooks the view), and it may include other guests joining at the same table if they choose the same time to eat. Other breakfast options are to eat privately in the library room, or with advance notice, to get breakfast room service-style (brought to the room) for an extra $10.

This rental is the perfect location for glampers to experience the historical towns of Bandera, Boerne, San Antonio, and Helotes/Grey Forest. All are very different from each other and fun to explore, and each can be reached within 15 to 25 minutes. Glampers may also take a short 45-90 minute road trip to visit the cities of Austin, San Marcos, Wimberly, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Sisterdale, Comfort, Johnson City and more. Guests who are into wineries can check out "Wine Road 290," which makes up about 30 miles from Fredericksburg to Johnson City, Texas, and offers 15 wineries and tastings rooms—perfect for glampers looking to pamper themselves.

Part of what makes stays at this rental so special are the hilltop views, the magical sunsets, the dark star-filled skies, and the on-going breeze. Guests will feel far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and the critters here—deer, rabbit, birds, foxes, ladybugs, and sometimes lightning bugs, add to the relaxation and deep rest that we are known for.

Most people just sit and chill, enjoy the sunshine, the breeze, and the hilltop views, have a glass of wine, enjoy the birds and the clouds, breathe in the fresh air, and photograph the beautiful daily sunsets. In the evening, glampers can enjoy the bright stars and perhaps make a fire in their private fire pit area. The on-site tiny house is also a perfect spot to stay tucked inside while still enjoying views of the outside. It has extra-large panoramic windows on three sides, and being tucked under the trees, it feels very private. If guests want to add in a relaxation massage or a chi (energy-rebuilding) session, the host, Karen, is a licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of experience, and there is a special massage room on-site.

For exercise, or just for the fun of it, many guests opt to walk up and down the hills of the neighborhood, and on weekends, guests can even walk to the Timber Ridge Winery for a taste (or buy a bottle to bring back). Some guests bring bikes and/or tubes to enjoy the local rivers and roads.

If guests don't want to go too far, the hosts are happy to recommend the Backyard Bistro in Pipe Creek, which has both indoor and outdoor seating, terrific homemade ice cream, and wonderful daily specials. It can be found in front of the Country Accents Antiques store (these are side by side), which features really unique older items and are also known for their giant potbelly pigs who roam the property and greet the guests. They are happy to have people pet them.

If guests are looking to be active in nature, nearby outdoor activities include hiking at Bandera’s Hill Country State Natural Area with mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and tubing the river in Bandera. The hosts love to visit Lost Maples State Area to explore nature's finest. They also really enjoy the Bandera historical horseback rides and exploring Cave without a Name that is found there.

Our closest town of Boerne (pronounced BUR-KNEE), is an eclectic mix of sophistication and old world German historical charm, and features delicious casual and high-end restaurants, boutique stores, art galleries, and antiques. It has a lovely walking tour of their outdoor sculptures and many great restaurants to choose from. If guests have never been, the hosts highly recommend the Boerne Wine Bar and/or their personal favorite, Dodging Duck Brewhouse, which boasts a laid-back atmosphere, good food, as well as good beer. Cypress Grill is where they go to celebrate special events, and Bear Moon Bakery has lovely treats guests can eat there or bring back.

The other sister city is Bandera, the self-proclaimed "Cowboy Capital of the World," which has boot-scootin' live music almost daily, fun western-themed shopping, traditional Texas Fare restaurants, lots of bars and saloons, and Love's Antiques and Collectables Mall with the hosts' favorite Hippie Smoothie & Juice Bar behind it.

Joshua Creek Ranch in Boerne offers day trip fly fishing, skeet shooting, kayaking, and hunting trips. Cave Without a Name is a favorite, a privately-owned cave that we love to send people to. When water on the Medina River is up and flowing, the hosts have tubes that guests can borrow to splash in the cool water, and friends who have access to a private park and will take guests on guided tubing, birding, hikes along the river. Paddleboarding is available at Boerne City Park. Extra fees apply for most activities.

Glampers can enjoy scenic drives in the surrounding area to locations including San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels, Comfort, or Fredericksburg. This area is home to many vineyards, breweries, and a cool distillery in Comfort, Texas, if guests like that sort of thing. New Braunfels has a unique olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room for the discerning foodie.

All inside areas are non-smoking.

Shoes are required to come off prior to entering the tent.
