This stunning region of France prides itself in boasting sublime natural beauty with a plethora of outdoor recreation for any discerning glamper. For the hikers and bikers, the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park is an hour from Belfort, and here glampers will enjoy over 100 mountain bike paths, 7,000 kilometers of hiking trails, lush vineyards, and the unique opportunity to take to the skies by hot air balloon. Closer to the glamping site, thrill seekers can zip through the canopies of Francis Bedat Park or cruise along the pristine water at the Peninsula of Malsaucy, with paddle boats and boards. This gorgeous natural area is surrounded by the Malsaucy lake which boasts a water sports center and a beach for sunbathing and picnics. In July, the peninsula hosts the annual Eurockéennes rock festival, which beckons glampers from all over Europe.

Additionally, the Ballon d’Alsace mountain range is ideal for winter sports lover with alpine and cross-country skiing available. Those willing to embark on a two-hour journey will find adventure and incredible nature in the Swiss Alps, just south of Bern in Switzerland.

In the city of Belfort, the Citadel and the Lion of Belfort are ideal for history buffs wanting to learn more about the history of the area. The Citadel has a terrace with panoramic views and a history museum while the phenomenal sculpture represents the resistance against Prussia and owes its existence to the renowned sculptor, Bartholdi. In the cities and towns surrounding the vacation rental, there are ample fine dining and wining options, museums, boutiques, and galleries to peruse.
