At the site, which is also a smallholding operated by the hosts, guests will find a peaceful rural setting featuring a vegetable garden, an herb and edible flower garden, an orchard, chestnut trees, woodlands, and fields, which are home to a variety of farm animals, including miniature donkeys, free-range chickens, a sprocker (a cross between a springer and a cocker spaniel), a border collie, two barn cats, and pigs that are a cross between two rare breeds: Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth.

To the north lies the forest of Foret de Chabrieres, where guests will find a variety of multi-use circuit trails, an astronomical observatory, old granite quarries, large natural monoliths, and the wildlife reserve of Parc Animalier des Monts de Gueret, which safeguards a population of about 50 wolves. To the south and the east lies the regional park of Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin, which encompasses 3,143 square kilometers (1,213 square miles) of rolling hills, valleys, moorlands, peatlands meadows, deciduous forests, lakes, streams, and trails for hiking and biking. The park provides habitats to a variety of wildlife, such as otters, linnets, short-toed snake eagles, and migratory birds.

The site is about an hour and 15 minutes from Limoges, where the nearest airport—Limoges-Bellegarde Airport—is located. This airport has seasonal and year-round connections to Paris, Lyon, London, and a few other cities in both the UK and France. The site is about a 40-minute drive from the nearest TGV train station, La Souterraine.
