Tutukaka

Based east of the luscious Whangarei region, Tutukaka is one of the coolest coastal destinations not just in North Island, but also in the world (according to NatGeo). As such, this part of town offers a chain of coastal villages, including Ngunguru and Tututkaka itself, with venues that offer visitors kayaking, snorkeling, boating, and fishing activities. Visit Manapouri's horseshoe-shaped beach, and you’ll enjoy some of the heartiest swimming in crystal waters that contrast from emerald to deep blue. Don’t forget to visit the famous Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve, known for its amazing snorkeling and scuba-diving tours. You’ll eat some of the freshest seafood in Tutukaka, as there are plenty of restaurants and cafes along the coast. So call the harbor of Tutukaka your home this getaway and enjoy an aquatic adventure.
