There are many activities available in the area and these can be organized in advance or on arrival. There are a few acres of woodland and wetland to explore, as well as relaxing in front of the open fire or chilling out in a hammock.
Parents can send the kids off scouting for fallen twigs; roasting marshmallows on the campfire tastes all the better if the wood is locally sourced! Children will also enjoy following the trail around the site to the feely boxes, using the activity book for ideas of woodland games to play.
In the woods, there is a bracken den for anyone to add to as they wish, and a recycled tire horse to swing on for hours of fun. Guests can explore the water meadow area with a shallow stream to paddle in and there's even a bridge for pooh sticks.
If there’s a big group, guests set up a boules game or a cards competition. Guests can even get creative with the crafty bits and bobs in the "cozy corner" or relax with a book in "cozy lounge". For more adventure, glampers can hire a mountain bike and explore the stunning countryside, take a family kayak trip along the River Wye, book an exciting gorge challenge, or pony trek with spectacular mountain views.
Campfires are positively encouraged and there's a fire pit in front of each unit. There’s plenty of seating for everyone and the large spaces around the fire pits mean that campfire cooking is a must. Everyone can dig into a one-pot stew or prepare a BBQ feast.
