This unique and tranquil yurt is located in Malons-et-Elze, France, in the heart of the Cévennes Mountains. It can accommodate up to six guests.
There is one bedroom with a double bed and a pair of twin-sized beds. The sofa in the lounge area can be pulled into a double bed to sleep an additional two guests. Guests will have access to two shared bathrooms onsite, a stone house with showers and flushing toilets, and a solar shower and dry toilets in an area outside the yurt. Linens and towels are provided.
The yurt comes with a private kitchen and a lounge area. The kitchen features a fridge, an oven, and a wood-burning stove. The lounge area has nice furniture including a sofa and a small dining table. Other amenities include running water, electricity, and insulation against cold and rain. A washing machine can be found near the showers in the stone house.
Outside, there is a stilted terrace overlooking woodlands, gardens, and mountains. After a long day of rock climbing or touring nearby vineyards, guests can relax on the terrace and admire the breathtaking views of the wilderness surrounding them. Additionally, they can take a yoga class in the shared activities yurt, or soak in the natural spring waters of the onsite bathing pool.
The ecolieu is an experiment in semi-collective living, so guests will have shared access to facilities used by permanent residents such as the activities yurt, a shared kitchen and dining room, a playground, and a shared bathroom with a washing machine. Guests will also have access to the natural bathing pond, gardens, and acres of private woodlands around the ecolieu.

Guests can visit the beach at Lake Villefort for swimming, surfing, fishing, canoeing, and jet-skiing. They can go kayaking, canoeing, and whitewater rafting in the Chassezac Gorge or along the Ardeche and Lozere Rivers. In addition, guests can go hiking, climbing, and caving along the cliffs and canyons over the Ardeche and Lozere Rivers.
Guests can spend the day at Cevennes National Park, only about 40 minutes away from the ecolieu. They can go rock climbing over rugged canyons and pristine blue water at the Gorges du Turn, caving in the waterfalls by Monts d'Ardeche, or hiking and skiing at Mont Aigoual and Mont Lozere. The park is also an excellent place for biking, photography, and wildlife viewing.
The ecolieu is centrally located near the borders of Gard, Ardeche, and Lozere, three of France's southern regions known for their gorgeous vineyards, charming chateaux, and romantic medieval villages. Guests can tour chateaux, or go hiking and horseback riding along vineyards and valleys in Florac. They can go wine-tasting and sailing along the Rhone River at Tournon-sur-Rhône. Guests can head over to Vallon-Pont-d'Arc to tour medieval castles, visit the world-famous lavender gardens at Musee de la Lavande, or to dive deep into caverns and canyons to see prehistoric cave paintings.
In addition, guests can go shopping and dining in the nearby town of Vans. Vans also has movie theaters, tennis courts, and summer music festivals. Guests can visit more churches and lakeside chateaux in Villefort, or stroll through Roman ruins at Nimes. They can spend the day in Avignon exploring papal palaces, cathedrals, art galleries, and other historic landmarks dating back to the Middle Ages.

Those who are interested in participating in classes and workshops offered by permanent residents like yoga and wellness must express their interest and desired frequency upon reservation, so the schedule can be best arranged to meet guests' needs and desires.
Rates vary by season. From July to August, bookings are weekly, from Saturday to the next Saturday. For the rest of the year, bookings are based on week, weekends, months, or otherwise by special requests. Additional taxes will be included in the total booking cost.
Guests are encouraged to use environmentally-friendly products for laundry, bathing, and washing dishes. They are also encouraged to do their best to preserve the water resources and keep the water clean while on the property.
The property is accessible by five kilometers (three miles) of small, steep winding road. Depending on where guests are arriving from, this road can be accessed by three major highways: A7, A9, and A75.
