Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is home to the largest canyon in France, The Gorges du Verdon. The site is a must-see for the road trip it provides alone, as guests wind around the edge of the gorge by car or by bike. Hiking in and around the gorge is phenomenal, with challenging trails leading glampers to wildlife, greenery, and unique vantage points of the area. For fun on the water, guests are able to experience the gorge by pedal boat, kayak, and canoe, as they paddle up from the very bottom edge of the Gorges du Verdon.
For more time on the water, glampers are encouraged to visit the Lac de Saint Cassien, an incredibly blue lake, perfect for cooling off during the summertime. The lake hosts activities such as fishing, rowing, and kayaking, with water gear and equipment available for rental nearby.
Weekly markets hosted in the area allow guests the opportunity to dive into French culture, with local foods, wines, and handmade treasures available for purchase.
Guests looking for a day trip along the French Riviera have easy access to Monaco, which is just a short ferry ride away, Nice, just a 20-minute drive, and Cannes, home to the internationally renowned film festival, just 10 minutes by car.
