The glamping site comprises of 92 acres, 42 of these are birdsong-filled woodlands that are sympathetically managed and include exceptional tree ferns, bamboo, several ponds, bird hides and carriage drives. Another 42 acres are green fields sweeping down to the Ilen Estuary where sheep and ponies graze, as this is a working farm run on organic principles.

The remaining 13 acres are taken up with buildings, a walled garden with glass house and fruit cages, a sunken garden with fountain, a cherry drive, an orchard, a daffodil lined avenue, and two woodland gardens. This huge expanse of land provides endless exploring and walking for guests to enjoy, such as the "Pirate Trail" and the "Fairy Trail."

While in the area, guests can explore what West Cork has to offer, for example, the hosts sponsor the Slow Food Ireland guide and embody the essence of the Slow Food movement by providing a holistic, tranquil setting in the heart of Ireland's artisanal food-making region.

Golf is another activity, and this site is the ideal base for golf holidays in West Cork. There are a number of great courses less than an hour's drive away.

West Cork is rich in history from pre-historic monument, 15th-century ruins, stories of the Great Famine and the heroes of the establishment of the Irish Free State, which guests can explore at places like Skibbereen Heritage Centre, Ceim Hill Museum, Ballydehob, and Bantry.

Some of Ireland’s finest craftspeople are based in West Cork. Whether guests are collectors or just looking for a souvenir from the vacation, they will find a range of shops and galleries to choose from.

There are a number of excellent pubs located a short drive from the estate. Most of these pubs have music some nights and some also serve food. If guests wish to dine at a restaurant, choose from one of the many fine eateries in the area. A variety of different cuisines are available, always comprised of fresh Irish food, mainly produced locally.

Whether guests are looking for an evening out dancing to live music or to sit by a fire and enjoy listening to a traditional music session, there are pubs and other venues throughout the area to suit all music tastes.
