This gorgeous stone cottage is nestled on the banks of Lake Monate in the city of Varese in Northern Italy and can accommodate two glampers for a romantic getaway. The cottage has an open plan concept with stone walls, large windows, and a plush bed that offers a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom is comfortable and comes with a sink, a shower, and a wide shower. Linen and towels are provided with the cottage. Lake Monate is a top holiday destination in Italy and this holiday cottage is a great home base to explore the region.

Designed with comfort in mind, the living area exudes a home-away-from-home feel and offers sublime views and ample natural light. The plush sofa beckons glampers to kick off their shoes and unfurl with a bestseller or a glass of wine by the fireplace, while in the equipped kitchen, the chef of the two can whip up something delicious which can be shared out on the patio overlooking the lake. Additionally, glampers can fire up the barbecue and enjoy an outdoor cooking experience, surrounded by sweeping nature and views of Lake Monate. The cottage is located on three private hectares which glampers are welcome to explore. There is a pedal boat for glampers to use as well as a private beach which is shared with other residents or glampers staying on the property.

The lake is home to Isolino Virginia, a small island that is great for nature enthusiasts interested in botany, birdlife, and archaeology.

For an extraordinary experience further afield, glampers can drive to Lake Como where they’ll find charming lakeside residences set against the dramatic Alps.
