Guests can hike through the coastal pine forests and wetlands at Maremma Regional Park, where they will find caves, creeks, birds, ancient ruins, and the Abbey of San Rabano. The Laguna di Orbetello Nature Reserve is the perfect place for birdwatchers to catch sight of flamingos, herons, and a variety of other birds. The nature reserve of Diaccia Botrona has a marshland that is home to flamingos and ducks. Bird habitats can also be found at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Oasis of Orbetello.

Fans of history and architecture will want to spend time visiting the Spanish Governor’s Palace at Piazza Garibaldi and the Passionist Monastery on Monte Argentario. The fishing village at Talamone, built around a 15th-century fort, is a great place to view the rugged Tuscan coastline.
