The lodge has 11 luxury, hand-crafted beach chalets set into the rocks or on the beach. They all are entirely constructed by local workforce.
Khuyu: This chalet sits on the beach overlooking the stunning lake and is the closest accommodation to the bar and restaurant. A spacious deck invites guests to sunbathe or enjoy a romantic meal in the evening. The large bedroom comes with a shower and bath and all the luxury essentials you need.
Mbungu: also lies on the beach but is built higher up into the rocks offering breathtaking views across the lake to the neighboring island. This secluded chalet has a private seating area. Going down the stone stairway you will find a private deck with access into the lake.
Msekwa: is located on the edge of the lake and is a photographer's favorite. You will enter through an arched doorway go down the steps and pass the bathtub, which set under a huge rock, and the shower, and arrive at a private deck that sits right next to the bedroom. A wooden walkway will take you to the beach.
Nhkwazi: This chalet lies at the top of a rocky hills and boasts 180 degree views of the lake and across to Mozambique.The chalet has 3 levels of decks and a plunge pool with a cozy seating area. The bedroom leads to a luxurious bathroom.
Mbamba: also sits at the top of the hill affording a 360 degree view of the lake. Great views of the surrounding area and lake can be enjoyed from your bed or private plunge pool under a lush ficus tree.
Yofu: wanting to stay as a family? Yofu is an ideal chalet with two separate rooms large enough for a family of four. Nestled into the back of the beach and partially hidden by a large mango tree, this chalet is perfect for families wanting to spend as much time as possible on the beach and in the lake. A bathroom intersects the two rooms with a shower and bath, and it is on the mezzanine making it an ideal place for star gazing while you relax in the foamy water.
Ulissa: Our second family beach chalet. Big enough for a family of 5. A two-room house with an interconnecting bathroom. The main room looks down across the beach and straight into the lake. The other room is perfect for children and can fit two single beds with space for another that hangs from the roof leading out on to a shaded terrace.
The Restaurant - The award nominated kitchen serves its guests fresh, healthy and creative dishes sourcing only local organic produce, handpicked herbs from the garden, high-quality meats and fresh lake fish. A breakfast might consist of classic eggs benedict, vanilla French toast, or a fresh fruit salad and toasted muesli. Dinners can be served on the beach, deck, platform or the gazebo.
The Bar - The bar and restaurant are located at the east end of the beach where it kisses the rocky hill. The bar is split into various levels that offer a seating area at the bar, coffee tables and a lounge with comfy sofas. Sip a cool drink while enjoying the picture-perfect moments of the sun dipping into the water.
Spa - An assortment of spa and massage treatments using only the finest natural oils are offered, including aroma facials and aroma body massages, body exfoliation, head, back, foot and hand massage, and reflexology. Massages take place at the gazebo overlooking the lake.
