This unique cabin rental is nestled on the Northern part of Lake Bacalar in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and offers a once-in-a-lifetime glamping experience. The cabin boasts unobstructed views of the Lake, the perfect opportunity for glampers to get back in touch with nature.
The cabin is split over three floors and a small bathroom and can accommodate five glampers. The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has a queen-size bed surrounded by a mosquito net and beautiful views. The second bedroom is on the third floor and accessed via a ladder. Here, glampers will find three single floor beds. On the ground floor, the living area is spacious and breezy and comes with an equipped kitchen, a dining table, and hammocks. When glampers get hungry, they can enjoy a rustic cooking experience at the cabin or head down to the on-site restaurant.
Glampers can make the most of some wonderful outdoor areas as well, with a pathway leading to the waterfront deck where glampers can relax in a hammock and enjoy sunrises and sunsets or quietly contemplate life. Glampers can explore the lake with a kayak rental, enjoy a refreshing swim before or after breakfast, or sip a glass of wine from the private deck as they admire the velvet sky.
This cabin offers modern conveniences that will make any discerning glamper feel right at home during their stay. With amenities and facilities such as an equipped kitchen, linen, towels, as well as organic soaps and shampoo, glampers will enjoy the creature comforts of home. Additionally, there are hammocks and chairs, as well as a waterfront deck where glampers can admire the lagoon.
The hosts serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner using fresh, organic produce and offer a blend of traditional Mexican, international cuisine, and seafood.

Commonly referred to as the Maldives of Mexico, most glampers are drawn to this area because of the renowned Laguna Bacalar. The striking blue color and clarity of the lagoon is partly due to the white limestone bottom, and boasts long docks that stretch out into the water. This glamping property offers easy access to the lagoon. Glampers are urged to make sustainable choices while visiting, such as using organic sunscreen and avoiding single-use plastic.
There is an abundance of outdoor recreation in the area, and nature enthusiasts will absolutely love the options. Sailing and kayaking adventures are popular and great ways to explore the beautiful lagoon and these are available as tour options or self-guided. At the property many different excursions are offered in the area, such as kayak tours to the mangrove estuary and lily pads in Punta Norte Bacalar. The estuary is 20 minutes paddling from the cabin and costs $15 per person, which includes kayak rental and a guide. The Kajak tour is three hours and guests will be taken through the mangrove channels of mirror waters upholstered in lily pads and abundant orchids and birds.
To know the region, a Chacchoben Tour is offered by the hosts, which includes a guide to ancient Mayan culture, a guided tour of archaeological sites, a Mayan village, and a walk through tropical garden, where guests will see many species of fruit, ending with a rich traditional lunch. This trip costs $25 per person and takes four hours.
The property also offers massage service or a romantic dinner served directly in the cabin. Prices vary depending on the amount of time or the menu.
Those seeking adventure and a bit of a thrill can head to Kan K’in Bacalar, just 15 minutes north of town. Here, glampers can soar across lush canopies as they enjoy a day of zip lining and exploring the jungle. From swaying in hammocks under the shade of a tree to admiring the marine life with snorkeling or scuba diving tour at Xul-Ha, glampers can enjoy relaxation or an action-packed getaway.
