This truly remarkable and one-of-a-kind tiny house sits on an eco-friendly, sustainable farm surrounded by peaceful gardens and native bush in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. The property lies just 20 minutes from the charming town of Cheviot and the stunning Gore Bay and is also within easy reach of a multitude of exciting attractions. The cabin can accommodate up to two guests and consists of a studio-style single room with a snug mezzanine loft bed that is accessed by a ladder, as well as a fold-out futon underneath.
The rustic kitchen comes complete with a fire-heated range, an oven, a toaster, a double hot plate, a toaster oven, a mini-fridge, and running water, allowing guests to cook some delicious food from scratch. To complete this truly unique experience, guests can take a relaxing soak in the outdoor, wood-fired bathtub while gazing at the starry night sky. This unique property has an on-site farm and a bumblebee sanctuary. It is also home to an array of animals, such as a dog and a cat.
After a busy day out and about, guests can take a relaxing soak in the cozy, wood-fired outdoor bathtub. The bathroom is also located outdoors and includes a wood-fired shower and a composted toilet. The bathroom is uniquely made up of recycled red brick, glass blocks, roofing tiles, and natural timber from the farm.
So guests do not feel too disconnected, the property provides Internet access and moderate cell phone coverage. There are also DVDs, games, books, and speakers with an iPod plug-in so guests never get bored.
The maximum occupancy of this property is two guests.

This rural property lies on New Zealand's South Island and sits in the northern region of Canterbury, close to the stunning east coast. This out-of-the-way property can be found in the small town of Waiau and just a 20-minute drive from both the center of Waiau and the small settlement of Cheviot. Guests can choose from a huge selection of on-site educational activities and skills workshops to take part in throughout their stay to get a true taste of the rural lifestyle in New Zealand.
The Flax Basket-Making Workshop lasts for 45 minutes and costs $30 for the first guest and $5 for each additional guest.
The Scythe Workshop lasts for 45 minutes at a cost of $30 per guest.
The Introduction to Forest Gardening is a one and a half-hour course and costs $60 for the first guest and $5 for each additional guest.
The Water Wise Land Shaping and Rain Harvesting Workshop lasts for one and a half hours and costs $60 per guests and is $5 for each additional guest.
The Farm Day Trip costs $10 for adults and $5 for children. Children under the age of five years old go free.
