This romantic and secluded bed and breakfast cottage is located in the rural town of Tauherenikau on the North Island of New Zealand, and can accommodate five guests. There are three bedrooms, two come with queen-size beds and one comes with a twin bed. The full bathroom comes complete with a shower, toilet, and a sink. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living room, guests will find two sofas and a cable television. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a stove, a refrigerator, and an espresso machine. This cottage is located in Tauherenikau, New Zealand, a remote rural area on New Zealand’s North Island. The town is serviced by the Tauherenikau River, which empties into Lake Wairarapa to the south. The rest of the area is surrounded by forests and farmland, with Kaitoke Regional Park laying to the west and various rural communities to the north and east. A short walk away is the Tauherenikau Racecourse, which houses a wide array of events from horse racing to jet sprinting to concerts. About a mile to the west is the town of Featherston, which has plenty of local shops and restaurants for guests to get a flavor of New Zealand living. This area of New Zealand is known for producing great wines, so guests can take tours of some of the world-renowned vineyards and wineries in the region. Lake Wairarapa lies to the south and is known around the country for being a great fishing and wildlife spotting area. It is the third largest lake in New Zealand and has been used for years by the Maori for hunting and fishing. On location, there is a pool and hot tub for residents to relax in after a long day exploring the region around them.
