There are many fun things to see and do in this incredible part of the world. Right on the property, guests can meet and greet the host's beautiful shire horses and can see a fascinating collection of vintage horse-drawn vehicles, dating from 1880-1920. Those who have their own kayak will be able to launch it from the private jetty, to explore the waters surrounding the property.

Water-based activities include fishing, boating, sailing, and surfing. Glampers can go fishing from the Kerikeri Inlet, or book an organized charter to try big game fishing. The Bay of Islands offers excellent sailing, and many private owners offer their yachts for charter or a day trip. The host is an experienced sailor and can help guests to find what they need. Both Kerikeri and nearby Opua have marinas, for sailing and boating. Boat trips available include fishing, diving, and whale and dolphin watching.

Keen golfers will be able to get their fix here. The area boasts several world-class golf courses. Courses within easy reach of the property include Kauri Cliffs, Waitangi, and Kerikeri.

Those who love dining will find numerous great places to eat in nearby Kerikeri. Dining options include French, Italian, and Japanese, as well as more casual fare, like pizza and fast food. Glampers who want to cook their own meals can visit the superb Sunday Farmer's Market for a large selection of locally-grown produce.

In the region, there are many great places of historic interest to explore. Most of these date from the 1800s. The 1822 Kerikeri Mission House is the oldest house in New Zealand. The Waitangi Treaty House is a 30-minute drive from the property and is where the Maoris signed a treaty with the British in 1840. A good audiovisual display and many historic photos can be enjoyed here. The old seaport of Russell, an hour away, by car and ferry, is a great place for a day trip. This is New Zealand's first European settlement. The town's streets retain their original layout and names from 1843, and many of its historic buildings can still be visited today.
