It boasts four bedrooms and is ideal for large groups and families as there are three queen-size bedrooms, while the fourth bedroom is fitted with two bunk beds. The hosts also supply a trundle bed and a port-a-cot to be used if necessary. The cottage boasts multiple bathrooms to ensure that guests have plenty of privacy.

Guests can access the island via ferry or water taxi from the seaside village of Sandspit and head just 30 minutes across the water to the beautiful bay of North Cove. The property boasts amazing views of one of the most sheltered anchorages in the Hauraki Gulf, which provides the perfect backdrop for glamping.
The island is very peaceful and has no cars or shops, though the boating club sells essential items for guests' convenience. The island setting of this property means that guests will be able to enjoy long days spent relaxing on the sand at the beach or wandering through the bush. There are kayaks and stand-up paddleboards available for rent if guests are keen to get out on the water, or glampers can sign up for a boat ride. There is also great fishing available just steps from the rental off of the wharf.
While on the island, guests should take a visit to the historic Mansion House which is Governor Grey’s former mansion. It is home to beautiful grounds and there are many exotic plants and trees. The hosts also recommend a visit to the Coppermine ruins, School House Bay, and Bostaquet Bay where guests will find two huge trees that formed the entrance to the banquet hall where a tribe of Maori once resided—perfect for culture and history lovers!
