Some may not want to leave this animal lover's paradise. With more than 50 miniature furry friends to spend time with, guests will never be at a loss for something to do during their stay. However, black water rafting and caving tours at the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves are a must. Caveworld, also in Waitomo, offers a glowworm cave dusk tour that is an awesome experience for the evening. Set in a picturesque, park-like setting, the 18-hole Waitomo Golf Course is challenging for the serious golfer and welcoming for beginning golfers. The street murals and displays in nearby Otorohanga explain some of the country’s most significant cultural icons. Marokopa Falls, one of New Zealand's most impressive waterfalls, is worth the 40-minute drive.
