Pakiri

A small area next to North Island’s coastline, Pakiri is a great spot to visit for nature lovers—especially water babies. After all, it’s home to Pakiri River, a waterway that also houses Pakiri Beach. The secluded beach is seldom crowded and it’s also a great spot for horse riding through lush white sands that heavily contrast its neighboring waters. As long as 12 miles, Pakiri is the place you’ll indulge in kayaking, swimming, fishing, surfing, hiking, beach bumming and plenty of other fun outdoor activities. Near the region are Matakana and Leigh, where you’ll find excellent cafes, restaurants, vineyards, and even a village cinema. Take to Pakiri; the gorgeous coastal region that will host some of your favorite memories of New Zealand.
