Experience off-the-grid living in this private escape just 4 km from Whale Bay and 12 km from Raglan. This romantic glamping getaway is set in a field on 35 acres; it has a large, expansive views of the coast and ocean, an outdoor bath on a big deck, and a fire pit to toast marshmallows. It is an escape from the everyday, for young romantics (at heart), the adventurous, people who want to unplug, reload and get back to nature. Guests should bring their own gumboots to stomp around. The property can accommodate up to three guests.

Inside there tiny house there is an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with a sink and a gas cooktop, as well as a dining space with candles for romantic dinners. There is an extra long, comfy built in couch with an amazing view out the large, bifold window to the ocean that can be used for snuggling (or an extra guest). At the end of the tin house there is a queen-sized bed with luxury bed linen. The hosts provide two duvets on the bed for winter so it’s extra warm. Also included is a beautiful and clean bathroom with a hot shower and a flushing toilet. Other amenities include solar power LED lights, a gas heater for those cooler nights (please note the bus is fully insulated), and a chilly bin (Cool Stool) to help keep guests' food and drinks cold.

Outside, there is a large deck with a small table, deck chairs, and a BBQ for outdoor dining and relaxing. Or, guests can use the fire pit for fireside stories and toasting marshmallows. Also located outside is an outdoor bath with hot water.

Each day can begin with a delicious locally-sourced coffee and tea that are kindly provided. Although this property is off-the-grid with limited cell service, there are spots with Wi-Fi service to keep connected. Portable chargers are provided, as are books, candles, essential oils to keep pests away, and a Bluetooth speaker. A detox from technology, if guests choose to stay at the property, there is no mobile coverage at the bus.

All bed linen, towels, dish cloths, and cleaning products are provided allowing guests to pack light when visiting this property. The hosts also provide Eco-store NZ shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Guests will be treated to an off-the-grid getaway on this property in the town of Raglan, New Zealand. The city of Hamilton is found a 40-minute drive away and homes Italian Renaissance, Japanese, and traditional Maori-inspired gardens, art galleries, and museums.

Ideally situated on the coast, glampers will be a short distance from surfing at popular Manu Bay or Whale Bay, along with other water activities and breath-taking views. Raglan also homes the unique black-sand Ngarunui Beach and is within reach of Pirongia Forest Park where waterfalls and tougher trails can be found.

The property itself offers privacy and immersion in nature among 35 acres of bushland and pine forest that guests are encouraged to explore.

Guests should ensure to pack their hiking boots to venture onto the bush trails both on the property and in the surrounding area. A variety of trails lead to scenic viewpoints including Te Toto Gorge Lookout, and the paths wind past waterfalls and terrain within Pirongia Forest Park.

Swimming in the picturesque blue water is just a short walk away, while popular Manu Bay and Whale Bay await for surfing, both found five kilometers away. Ngarunui Beach is a must-visit with its unique black sand and powerful waves. Mountain biking is also a great activity on this terrain, and bikes can easily be rented from the hosts.

These lush landscapes home all kinds of beautiful flora and fauna that photographers and nature lovers will both adore.

The hosts allow one well behaved pet to stay, however guests should confirm with them first. Unfortunately, puppies are not allowed.
