This picturesque vacation rental has amazing views of the Firth of the Thames in North Island and can sleep four guests. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin-size bunks and shares the ensuite bath. Cozy linens, electric blankets, and fluffy bath towels are provided.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a stove, microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and a kettle. Cookware, dinnerware, and utensils are provided. There is a full kitchen and additional facilities next door in the main lodge for further meal prep options. Guests are treated to free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, shampoos, and soap as well as scrumptious meals in the lodge.

Outside, guests will find a wraparound covered porch with a small table and chair neatly tucked away. There are multiple outdoor seating and eating areas as well as a BBQ at the main lodge that guests are welcome to use. In addition, there is a communal lounge with a 3D TV that guests are free to enjoy. On-site parking is possible, but a four-wheel drive vehicle is required to reach the property. Otherwise, guests will be met at the front gate and transported via shuttle.

There are four types of accommodation to choose from at this property. Guests will have the choice of a bush hut, one of two cottages, or a lodge. The hut has running water, a small kitchenette, and outdoor bath facilities. There is no power at this site. All other properties have bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchen facilities. The main lodge has a full kitchen and common area that guests are welcome to use. The cottages and lodge are equipped with heating and have Wi-Fi access. With the exception of the hut, all accommodations have bedding, electric blankets, and towels. The main lodge has an indoor common area with a 3D TV.

Outside on the property, there are terraces, gardens, and picnic areas. A BBQ at the main lodge can be used by guests. There is on-site parking, however, a four-wheel drive vehicle will be necessary to maneuver up the steep drive.

This fantastic, family-friendly property is situated on 45 hectares and offers spectacular views of the Firth of Thames and the Coromandel mountain ranges. The town of Thames is only 12 minutes away and will provide visitors with options for both leisure and recreation. The Butterfly and Orchid Garden is a mere two miles away, and within six miles is the Thames Historical Museum and Goldfields Shopping Centre. The property itself also offers many tours, which include farm tours, a horse experience, possum spotting, glow worms, and bivy building for the kids. There are also some beautiful swimming holes close by.

The Pinnacles and Ngatea Water Gardens are within 20 miles of the property. Just outside of Thames is Tararu Bay, which can be seen from the property's cottages at the top of the hill. A three-mile journey from the bay through the valley and along the river will bring guests to their final destination. A stay here in the remote, natural landscape is sure to offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

This property is very family oriented and offers a variety of activities for all ages. Take a farm tour and collect eggs, feed the animals or learn about the Manuka honey production. The tour leads all the way to the Nightingale Waterfall and river where guests can take a dip one of the many swimming holes or sunbathe on the rocks. Explore the river on a guided tour and try a hand at gold panning. Walk the Dinosaur Rock bushwalk along the Tararu Creek past the T-Rex and discover an old mining cave.

Learn to build a bush Bivi with native plants, develop some survivor skills or learn what kind of bushes produce edible fruits. Stay active with biking and hiking or relax on one of the many beaches. Thrill-seekers may wish to visit Sleeping Gods Canyon to partake in ziplining, abseiling, and more. The town of Thames also offers restaurants, cafes, markets and a museum.
