There are plenty of things to do near Auckland and these retreats are just a 10-minute drive from Muriwai Beach, a popular surfing spot and home to an amazing colony of gannets which is worth checking out over summer when the birds are nesting.
There are also gorgeous walks in the area including the Te Henga Walkway and the site is only a five-minute drive to Woodhill Forrest. Other attractions include closeby vineyards and Hallertau Brewery which is about a 15 minutes drive away.
