Amenities include a queen-size bed, bunks, a sofa bed, bed linens, duvets, and pillows. Guests will also have an outdoor bath, a flushing toilet, a shower, and bath towels.

Location + Surroundings
Waipu itself is a small charming town that is settled along Bream Bay. One of the area's most well-known landmarks is Waipu Cove, a location boasting a remarkable beach and views of the Hen and Chicks and Sail Rock Islands. There are also tide pools brimming with life and beachside cafes overlooking the sprawling blue ocean. Guests can spot stalactites, stalagmites, and glow worms by wandering through the Waipu Caves.

The township of Waipu offers great cafes, takeaways, and restaurants. The famous Pizza Barn, an icon of Waipu, serves superb pizzas and has its very own crafted beer. Waipu Cove's The Cove restaurant is a very buzzing and popular eatery.
Waipu coastal trail a one and a half hour walk from Waipu Cove to Lang’s beach and has breathtaking views out over the beach.
Guests can go on a unique guided beach trek with Tuidale Stables.
At the Waipu Caves, glampers can trek through amazing caves full of glow worms, stalactites, and stalagmites.
The Waipu golf course has awesome views overlooking Bream Bay.
Guests can have a go at surfing with the fun team at Waipu Learn2Surf.
To get to Piroa Falls, guests should follow a 200-meter track across the Ahuroa River and onto the picturesque Piroa Falls. The river has many suitable swimming holes along the track, making it a fun walk for children.
Waipu’s strong Scottish heritage can be appreciated at the Waipu Museum and The Waipu Highland games are celebrated annually on New Year’s Day and the tartan week that takes place every July.
Waipu Cove, Lang’s, Mangawhai, and Ruakaka beaches are great for swimming, surfing, fishing, relaxing, and having fun.
Bennett’s chocolatier is situated in Mangawhai, 30 minutes away from the retreat. It is here that guests will see chocolate being made, and some of the most delicious chocolates that they will ever taste. Children love to visit here and sample the free giveaways.
There are many playgrounds situated in and around Waipu that children can enjoy.
Markets are held on most weekends throughout summer, either in Waipu or nearby surrounding towns.
At Waipu cycle and walkway guests can take a stroll or cycle and breathe in the fresh air and see some of the beautiful countryside.
