It is completely solar powered and handbuilt by the owners in a traditional mountain cottage style, out of recycled native timbers. The area has over 800 acres of native bush, as well as incredible spots for climbing/bouldering on classic limestone and spelunking/caving. Glampers may catch sight of endangered species, such as New Zealand's Whitehead, Fernbird, Falcon and the North Island bat. On a clear day, guests can spot mountains like Mount Hauturu, Pirongia, Te Aroha, Kakepuku, Maungatautari, and the very popular Tongariro crossing/Mt Doom! Waitomo Caves Village is just a 10-minute drive away, and guests can find Marokopa Beach a half an hour away.
