Whangaroa

Popular for water sports and fishing activities, the harbor of Whangaroa is a great place to make underwater memories. Located on the eastern coast of North Island, Whangaroa offers visitors plenty of scenic beaches, lush forests, and vibrant attractions to explore. One worthwhile hike is Duke’s Nose Track. The walkway takes you to the top of the harbor, where you’ll get wonderful views of the coast. There is also Wairakau Stream Track that descends through regenerating forest and the Wairakau Stream. The track can be a bit challenging, but it’s certainly worth the sites.
