Brooklyn

Based in Wellington, Brooklyn is a quaint suburb named after the New York borough; however, you won’t find as many attractions here as in the original Brooklyn. The wind turbine-filled town is a great place to stay when visiting the bigger city of Wellington, however. It offers easy access to a city filled with vibrant activities, including visiting its many museums (Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is a great start), exploring the wildlife sanctuary Zealandia, and simply enjoying the many vibrant bars, cafes, and restaurants Wellington has to offer. So if you’re in Brooklyn for a weekend, expect to spend your days and nights in Wellington’s most vibrant parts; at night you’ll sleep like a baby in your quiet suburb.
