Cable Bay

Based in northeast Nelson, Cable Bay is a bayside region with vibrant waters. The area is a great spot for picnic and fishing activities, and there is also a land bridge shaped like a crescent that connects the bay to Pepin Island. The bridge serves as a scenic walking path, and it’s one of the main attractions of the bay. The tranquil cove also offers ideal waters for kayaking and paddleboarding activities, and not only are they calm but crisp too, with colors ranging from turquoise to clear emerald. There are plenty of other cool things to do in Cable Bay, including checking out the region’s vineyards, so be sure to make a stop by the vibrant natural reserve for some hearty adventures by the bay.
