This beautiful yurt accommodation boasts an excellent location in French Farm and is perfect for a weekend of luxury camping in Canterbury, South Island. The spacious yurt is well insulated with wool, boasts a comfortable queen-size bed overlooking the Akaroa Harbour and lush hillsides, and can accommodate two glampers. There is a separate bathroom next to the yurt that comes with a shower and a toilet. Linen and towels are provided by the hosts.

In the morning, glampers can kick-start the day with a delicious cooked breakfast, before heading out on an action-packed adventure. At night, a three-course BBQ dinner is served in the communal BBQ area, followed by sweet treats to finish off the day. There are plenty of trails for those who enjoy walking, hiking, or biking, and the property provides easy access to an array of amenities and facilities to make glampers feel right at home during their stay here.

Nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano, this yurt accommodation is perfect for luxury camping in Canterbury and provides an amazing opportunity to reconnect with the outdoors. The yurt is located in French Farm, just outside of Akaroa and offers easy access to a plethora of outdoor recreation. From learning about New Zealand’s history at Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum to admiring one of the town’s most iconic landmarks—Akaroa Lighthouse, there’s plenty to do for the history buffs.

Those seeking some outdoor action can walk, hike, or cycle the network of trails in the area. Some start from Christchurch and head to the Little River Rail Trail, while others carve through old forests at the Hinewai Reserve.
