The walk up here is an easy 300m nature walk. Take your mind back to the gold mining days when these pathways were once used for sluicing gold through water races. It sits 350m above sea level, so you could be walking through the clouds to find your secluded PurePod.

Privacy is assured here. The views are ever-changing with the light and season. Sunsets turn the mountains golden in the final hours of light. Once the sun goes down, the amazing stars glisten above. Use a telescope provided to star gaze and spot the Southern Cross.

It has easy access to the famous Lake Dunstan trail. Cyclists and walkers experiencing the Lake Dunstan Trail will marvel at the man-made landscapes and the rich Maori and early pioneer history.

If you are staying for a couple of days, set aside some time to explore other wonderful activities the region has to offer, such as exploring the flavours of Central Otago (award-winning restaurants and wineries) or jump on the Clutha River Heritage Cruise.

Of course, if such exploration is not quite what you desire, stretch out on the deck, enjoy a glass of locally-produced wine and embrace the complete absence of people and traffic.

The PurePod has all the facilities you require including a fabulous shower, flush toilet, crisp linen, cooking and eating equipment including a gas hob and barbeque, tea coffee and milk; as well as an assortment of games, local reference books, and a telescope.

So sit back, relax in the luxury camp chairs out on the deck, or laze in the super comfortable bed and watch nature put on a show.

You can either bring your own supplies or pre-order a delicious breakfast and dinner food hamper when you make your reservation.

Check-in is from 3pm (but please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to walk to the PurePod before dark). Check-out is by 12 pm on the day of departure.
