The on-site restaurant requires bookings to be made in advance. Dinner consists of a three-course set menu, including a main course and a dessert, as well as bread, water, tea, and coffee. Packed lunches are also available, as well as continental breakfasts. While these are included for catered guests, should self-catering guests wish to take advantage of them, there will be an additional charge.

Year-round events are available around the property, with anything from walks and fairs to the Hororata Highland Games, held every November. The Canterbury High Country region has a huge range of activities on offer. Fishing is available in the Lake Coleridge area, with fast flowing rivers, tranquil lakes, and quiet streams on offer. For those wishing to explore a little more, fishing guides are also available for a bit more guidance. Horse trekking can be found at High Country Horse Adventures and Terrace Downs Golf Resort. Those wishing to get out on the lakes and enjoy should head to the nearby Rakaia River for some jet boating.
Mountain biking is abundant, with a plethora of quiet, unsealed back-country roads leading to some marvelous views. For road cycling, a popular trail can be found between the town of Methven and Lake Coleridge Village. There is a wide range of walking and hiking routes in the area, too, such as the Village Historical Walk, where guests can learn some history about the area. Guests can explore the Rakaia Riverbed Walk, wading through shallow tributaries and heading several miles up the river bed, depending on the conditions. Both Mount Hutt and Mount Olympus offer excellent skiing opportunities, too, so there truly is something for everyone here.
