French Pass

Planning on visiting the outdoors of French Pass? The Marlborough region reserve is home to an island, whirlpools, scenic lake alpines, and plenty of other picturesque natural areas. You’ll have an entire coast to yourself as you enjoy fishing, boating, and hiking activities in the region. For hiking enthusiasts, there are some cool walking paths worth visiting in French Pass. There’s French Pass Lookout Track and Beach, home to whirlpools, a viewpoint, and an isolated beach with ridiculous features. There’s also Collinet Point Lookout that takes you to a vantage point that overlooks French Pass’ town and its bay. Don’t forget to kayak along the waters of Current Basin; you’ll paddle along forested shores that make the French Pass—certainly a great activity if you want to take photos of the region.
