This enchanting holiday cabin is located in the heart of Peel Forest, near Timaru, on New Zealand’s South Island, around an hour-and-a-half drive from Christchurch, and is the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends looking to unwind in the Canterbury region while being able to explore an array of natural attractions and activities. The cabin has a stunning logwood exterior and looks out towards an immaculate lawn with the Southern Alps providing an impressive backdrop. It sleeps up to eight guests within its four bedrooms that include two king-size beds and two queen-beds with each one featuring quality linens, plush pillows, and comfortable mattresses while the rooms have been warmly decorated with a carpeted floor and ambient lighting as well as floor-to-ceiling windows that open up onto the stone patio.

There are two full bathrooms that come with showers, toilets, hand basins, and a selection of fresh towels and toiletries while there is also a half bathroom with an extra toilet for extra convenience. Home-cooked meals can be prepared at the stylish, fully-equipped kitchen, which has plenty of room for more than one chef on cooking duties, and then sociable mealtimes can be enjoyed at the dining table for six.

Guests can kick their shoes off and relax on cozy, leather seating in front of an incredible, wood-burning stone fireplace in the spacious living room and enjoy some friendly competition over a board game for a fun family night in.

Outside, guests can serve up barbecue meals from the grill or enjoy candlelit dinner under the stars at the outdoor picnic table for the ultimate end to the evening.

Guests are treated to a luxurious outdoor hot tub, which makes for the ideal spot to unwind after a day’s hiking and a gorgeous indoor fireplace in the living area that keeps guests cozy during winter. The property also features free Wi-Fi and free parking as well as a flat-screen TV complete with a DVD player and an iPod deck. There is a barbecue grill and a large picnic table on the stone patio so guests can socialize over meal times while taking in the sun or admiring the night sky.
