This cozy room rental is located on the ground floor of a countryside bed and breakfast just 10 minutes from Hokitika—perfect for a couples' getaway on the West Coast of South Island, New Zealand. The room can accommodate two guests and is fitted with either a super king-size bed or two twin beds, based on guests' needs. There is an ensuite spa bathroom with a shower and heated tile floors, and the room boasts lovely views of the garden, with French doors that open up to a veranda with outdoor furniture.

Other amenities include luxury linens and towels, electric blankets and heating, tea and coffee facilities with complimentary homemade cookies, a television, and free Wi-Fi. A continental breakfast is also included in the daily rate.

The original accommodation was built in 1857 and represented the Colonial-style architecture that was representative of New Zealand in this time period. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the building in 1994, but a new, beautiful building—made of repurposed timber, both in the exterior and interior—was constructed in its place and highlights a similar Colonial style in homage to the original accommodation.

All guests will have access to the guest lounge, as well as the property's gardens. In addition, the property has its own vegetable garden and uses all of its own produce in the cooking offered to guests, in addition to all local meat and fish from New Zealand.

Guests will love the proximity to the West Coast beaches from this property and can alternate between spending their time relaxing in the sun, playing in the water, and strolling along the sand, looking for stones and Pounamu and admiring the natural driftwood. There's nothing quite like the gorgeous views from the Puakaiki Pancake Rocks and the Paparoa mountain range in the north to Aoraki, or Mount Cook, to the south.

Other points of interest and must-sees include the West Coast Wilderness Cycle Trail, Lake Mahinapua, Lake Kaniere, the Blue Spur mountain biking trails, Seal Colony, Glaciers, and the National Parks of Arthurs Pass, Paparoa, and Westland. Glampers may also find it fun to hop on the well-known Tranz Alpine Train, which picks up just 20 minutes from the property and will take them from Greymouth to Christchurch, allowing them to observe all of the area's beautiful mountains, river gorges, lakes, viaducts, and farmland with ease.
