Located on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, this delightful holiday villa in Kumara makes for an unforgettable getaway for families and groups of friends who want to relax in serene surroundings while having easy access to the area’s top attractions and outdoor pursuits. The villa can sleep eight guests within its three cozy bedrooms with two rooms featuring a queen-size and a twin bed each while the third room has one queen-size bed. All the rooms have been warmly decorated with carpeted floors and rugs while boasting large windows that offer beautiful views and allow for lots of natural light to brighten the interior.

There is a large fully-equipped kitchen where guests can prepare home-cooked meals and it comes complete with an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator while meals can be served at the large dining table for six. There is an enormous, wood-burning stove that keeps the villa cozy and warm all year round and guests will love sitting beside it with a cup of coffee after a day out at the glaciers.

Outside, guests can enjoy a barbecue meal from the grill and serve it at the outdoor picnic table while surrounded by the colorful gardens and the array of birds that inhabit the trees. This holiday villa is the ideal rental for a rejuvenating escape.

The property provides guests with an array of amenities that ensure they enjoy a relaxing holiday experience including free Wi-Fi, a variety of books and board games, and a cozy, wood-burning fireplace that keeps the property warm in the cooler months. Guests can take an afternoon nap in the hammock and they have access to free, on-site parking. Huge wild gardens with rambling paths will take guests on a treasure hunt as they get slightly lost in the West Coast wilds. Glampers can play with the young dog on site, borrow the badminton set, or throw around a ball. Plenty of space for everyone; however, guests can also mingle with guests who are staying in the dorm rooms or camping and hear their stories.

Kumara and the West Coast offer visitors and locals alike a variety of outdoor activities and attractions to explore. Guests can hike along the spectacular trails of Paparoa National Park and Arthur’s Pass National Park, which are both located with an hour’s drive of the property or take a two-hour drive to Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier for further hiking trails and even breathtaking helicopter tours.

Closer to the property, guests can take a walk or bike along the scenic Wilderness Cycle Trail or check out the Theatre Royal Hotel in Kumara village for good food and a few beers. 20 minutes from the property is the West Coast Treetop Walk, a canopy walkway near the town of Hokitika. Only a short distance away is the historic village at shantytown, complete with steam strain and gold panning. This is a wonderful activity for the whole family.
