There are outdoor and indoor activities for everyone to enjoy at this wonderous getaway location in the heart of Hakataramea Valley. This valley is a well-known location for salmon and trout fly fishing during the spring and summer months. Cycling enthusiasts will find a host of trails in and around this accommodation to peruse while taking in the surrounding scenery. The longest continuous ride in New Zealand, the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, can be found a few minutes away, starting at the top of Aoraki Mt Cook, which is the highest mountain in the country.
The Waitaki River is situated a mere 20 minutes away and is considered a mecca for fishing and boating enthusiasts, with stunning flowing water and a large lake amid rolling hills, forests, and mountain peaks.
Wine tasting can be seen to in the nearby areas, Pasquale Winery is set amid the beautiful Southern Alps and home to Pasquale wines and liqueurs. Group wine tours and private functions can be arranged through The Vintner's Drop, which hosts wines such as Lone Hill Vineyard, Black Stilt, and Bobbing Creek.
