This charming and romantic cabin, with its peaceful and secluded setting, is located near Kaikoura, on New Zealand’s stunning South Island, and can accommodate up to three guests. There is one attractive, Polynesian-style bedroom, and a full bathroom. The bedroom has a large double bed and boasts a restful and relaxing ambiance. At Mangamaunu Point, about a five-minute walk away, guests can take a long, secluded stroll on the sandy beach. The host can organize surfing lessons for those who would like to learn this exciting pastime. It’s also possible to see native wildlife in its natural habitat by taking one of the many whale-watching tours on offer in Kaikoura. On these excursions, guests can spot dolphins, seals, albatross, and majestic sperm whales, which can grow up to 65 feet long.
Those who like to be active can travel an hour up to the peak of Mount Lyford, for some skiing and snowboarding, which is available between June and September. Back down in Kaikoura, there is an 18-hole golf course, and also a mini-golf course, for some family fun.
