This romantic suite, with its incredible ocean view, is located near Kaikoura, New Zealand, and can accommodate two guests. The suite is studio-style and has its own full bathroom. There is a huge king-size bed, with bright and cheerful bedding and throw cushions. There is the option available to make this into two single beds, depending on the needs of the guests. The clean and modern bathroom features a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. Freshly-laundered linens and towels are provided by the host.

The stylish and functional kitchenette comes with a fridge, a hot plate, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and a sink. There are ample dishes and utensils for preparing simple meals, and guests can enjoy eating and drinking at the dining table, which looks out over the ocean, through the large windows. This is the ideal place to relax and unwind, as the rural setting offers seclusion, peace, and tranquility. The beach is just a few minutes' walk from the property, where guests can enjoy sunbathing, beachcombing, and surfing. It's just a five-minute walk to Mangamaunu Point, one of the most famous surfing breaks on the South Island. It's a 15-minute drive into the center of Kaikoura, which is a small, friendly coastal town. Here, visitors will find handy amenities like grocery stores and banks, and also an array of things to see and do.

Kaikoura has a rich history, culture, and Maori heritage, and glampers can learn all about this in the town's very own museum. In the surrounding area, it's only an hour's drive to the winter sports resort of Mount Lyford, and the hustle and bustle of the large city of Christchurch is a three-hour car ride away. Blenheim, the South Island's primary wine growing region, with the associated wine-tasting and cafes, is only an hour and 20 minutes drive.

Visitors to this picturesque region can enjoy all sorts of fun activities. There are some fantastic walks, and places to enjoy picnics, swimming, and surfing right near the property. At Mangamaunu Point, about a five-minute walk away, guests can take a long, secluded stroll on the sandy beach. The host can organize surfing lessons for those who would like to learn this exciting pastime. It’s also possible to see native wildlife in its natural habitat by taking one of the many whale-watching tours on offer in Kaikoura. On these excursions, guests can spot dolphins, seals, albatross, and majestic sperm whales, which can grow up to 65 feet long.

Those who like to be active can travel an hour up to the peak of Mount Lyford, for some skiing and snowboarding, which is available between June and September. Back down in Kaikoura, there is an 18-hole golf course, and also a mini-golf course, for some family fun. From the center of town, glampers can take a half or full day excursion to go rafting or kayaking on the incredible Clarence River, and keen fishermen will find plenty of options for chartered trips from the town’s harbor.
