Mosgiel

An urban extension of the bigger city Dunedin; Mosgiel is like a natural reserve inside Dunedin. The only things that separate it from its parent city are lush green hills and countryside, which locals utilize efficiently as the town is famous for agriculture and woo production. Due to its country feel, Mosgiel is a great place to explore via bicycle or car; it’s the closest experience to rural England in New Zealand. Of course, you can also step outside the town’s perimeters and visit Dunedin, where you’ll find a young population and some of the prettiest Victorian architecture in South Island. If you do, feel free to check out the lush flowers and quiet paths that make Dunedin Botanic Garden one of the most romantic attractions in the city.
