A walk throughout the campground might lead guests to interact with the friendly sheep and cattle, or through the bush to a waterfall. The nearby Queen Charlotte Track, just over 2 miles away, allows for scenic bike rides along local roads - the farm has bikes to rent upon request. The Waikakaho Track, of equal distance from the farm, now follows what was once the gold miner's trail. If guests would rather venture thirty minutes out, horse trekking becomes available, where horses can lead riders through hills then for a cool swim in the river. Several safe beaches can also be found near the area. The towns of Picton and Havelock are fifteen minutes from the farm and have countless activities for visitors, ranging from boat trips to fishing and diving, seeing the farming process for green lip mussels, taking a garden tour, and helping with the mail boat run. The Edwin Fox Maritime Museum, a 19th-century former convict and cargo ship, and EcoWorld Aquarium, home to blue penguins, are both in nearby Picton, as well. The farm hosts recommend driving another fifteen minutes out to Te Mahia to ride a water taxi out in order to sample all the delectables offered at St. Omer. The Linkwater Country Inn, just over 1 mile away from the farm, has a restaurant and bar, conveniently located for an evening that permits walking to dinner.
