History buffs will absolutely love spending time in the Akaroa Museum and the Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum, a perfect way to spend a morning or an afternoon. Akaroa Harbor is beautiful and offers great activities for glampers such as harbor cruises, kayaking, paddle-boating, jet skiing, and cycling from one end of the harbor to the other. Swimming with dolphins is also a popular activity with a chance to swim with the rare Hector Dolphins.
