Known as the 'gateway to the fiords' Te Anau is the closest town to Milford Sound via an exceptionally scenic two hour and thirty minutes drive. Check-in is available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out is at 10 a.m. on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or check-out are by arrangement only. No visitors are allowed in the rooms after 10 p.m.
