Guests can play a round of golf at the Te Anau Golf Course, which according to the owners, is one of New Zealand's best-kept secrets. This Fiordland region allows for plenty of adventurous sport such as mountain biking, kayaking, heli-skiing, and horse trekking to name a few. Of course, guests cannot miss out on a hike along one of the many treks located in the Fiordland.

A favorite of the hosts is the Kepler Track, which starts less than a kilometer from the lodge. However, there are plenty more to choose from, such as the world famous Milford Sound. Guests can see glow worms in the Te Ana-au caves on the western shore of Lake Te Anau. Those seeking more relaxed activities may enjoy fishing on the nearby Lake Waiau or go to the town of Te Anau to watch a movie and the Fiordland Cinema and Wine bar.
