The cottage is on a glacial moraine, 530metres above sea level, at the base of the stunning Ben Ōhau mountain range. There are amazing views across an old river plain towards the Benmore mountain range. It's a 1-hour walk or 30-minute bike ride to beautiful Lake Ōhau, which is great for swimming or boating in summer. Aoraki Mount Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo are a scenic 45-minute drive.

We won the Sustainability & Environmental Award in the 2022 Sth Canterbury NZ Business Excellence Awards. Hosts live in their home 60metres away; you have total privacy but they're there if you need anything

Free bikes x 2 for guests to use and it's a lovely 30-minute bike ride to Lake Ōhau and the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. Great hiking trails nearby, including the epic Greta Valley track! The sustainable & luxuriously-appointed cottage has mountain views, and hiking trails nearby, and is 45-min to Mt Cook/Tekapo. Facilities include bedroom 1 with queen bed, bedroom 2/lounge + sofa bed, kitchen + continental breakfast supplies, Wi-Fi, SmartTV, log burner, & wood-fired hot tub.
