This private cottage is located in the Waihopai Valley, New Zealand, and can accommodate six guests. This cabin can only be accessed via 4x4 and is located 15 km from the main property. Guests would have to arrange transport with the host. The bedroom has six twin bunk beds, all crafted from natural timber and fitted with comfortable mattresses. the cottage features an indoor flush toilet, and a few wooden steps lead to the gas heated outdoor shower with moss rocks and rock pools surrounding the shower. Linens and towels are provided.

The living room provides a relaxing atmosphere with comfy seating and an open fire. The kitchenette comes with a gas burner for cooking, an ice box, and filtered water. There is an outdoor gas grill and a veranda with views of the local fauna and flora throughout the New Zealand landscape.

There is plenty of parking for residents when they arrive at the accommodation. There is no television or internet, but internet is available for residents at the homestead in case of an emergency. All linens and towels are provided. Outside, there is a deck with stunning views of the mountainous Waihopai Valley.

This property is located in Waihopai Valley, New Zealand, a rural mountainous landlocked area in the South Island of New Zealand. This property is located in an area with over a thousand hectares of land protected by the Queen Elizabeth II Conservation Trust and contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna from the valley floor to mountain tops including remnants of pre-European beech forest and many rare and endangered species; some only found in this local area. To the northeast is the town of Blenheim, which is located 30 minutes from the sea, and to access the Cook Strait ferry guests can go to the port town of Picton. To the south is Tapuae-o-Uenuku, the largest mountain on the South Island. The closest airport is Blenheim which is a 45 minutes drive from the property.

There is plenty of unexplored rural land that the cottage sits on, so guests can go find a secluded spot to relax and enjoy the nature around them. There are also about 12 miles of walking trails, exploring the local flora and fauna of the region. Hikers looking for a challenge can take a guided trek to the top of Mt. Stronvar, a 1350m summit. There is also guided hunting and fishing tours available year round for guests who are interested in sharpening their skills. The property also includes a carbon farm, where residents can help out with the day to day activities and upkeep of the farm and make a lasting impact in the region and on society as a whole.
