Some truly superb activities await glampers in this amazing region. A few steps from the property, they have the beautiful white sands of Playa La Redonda, where they can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. A few miles north is Playa Amarilla, which is a premier destination for surfing. Those surfing in Nicaragua will never need a wetsuit, as the water is always warm, and there are outfitters from which to rent longboards, shortboards, or paddle boards. Fishing is a popular pastime here, and keen fishermen can hope to reel in king mackerel, barracuda, red snapper, tuna, and more, on an organized trip.

Glampers should remember to pack their walking boots, as there are miles and miles of fantastic trails all along this coastline. Nearby, only a five-minute drive away, there’s Pie de Gigante (Giant’s Foot), where there are hills to climb, with incredible views from the top.

Golfing enthusiasts can play a picturesque round at the nearby Mukul Beach Resort, or Iguana Beach, both of which have fantastic courses.

Those who wish to unwind and disconnect can do so at the nearby Aqua Wellness Resort, which is close to the property. The resort offers yoga and meditation classes, taught by expert staff, along with a huge variety of spa and body treatments.

Nature lovers will be in their element in this part of the world. They will be able to spot howler monkeys, Amazon parrots, sea turtles, and a host of other native animals and tropical plants, providing unique photography opportunities. There are boating trips available, to go turtle, dolphin, and whale watching in La Flor National Pacific Reserve.

In the local area, there are many day trip excursions available, and these can be booked at most of the larger resorts. Guests could enjoy exploring nearby eco-sites, including Masaya Volcano, Mombacho Volcano Reserve, the Granada Isletas, and Ometepe Island, which is a UNESCO world biodiversity site. Alternatively, they could discover the Spanish colonial city of Granada, with its colorful neoclassical cathedral. Those looking for family fun might like to go zip-lining in San Juan del Sur.
