Book one of the best rentals for forest camping in Rjukan, Norway

This unique riverside tipi rental is hidden in the forest near Rjukan, Norway, and can accommodate four guests. Inside, guests will find a sleeping area with a full-size bed and the possibility of adding or renting inflatable mattresses for the third and fourth guests.

Here, guests will also find linens, towels, but they will have to bring their own sleeping bags. Glampers choosing to stay in this tipi will enjoy the simple, traditional Norwegian life while at the same time enjoy a cozy getaway.

Whatever guests might need and not find in the tipi, they will most like find outside, including an eco-toilet, a shared kitchen, and a shared gathering area. Guests can take a shower outside or bathe in a bathtub by the river.

Outside, they will also find a grill, a fire pit, and several hammocks. Other amenities include Wi-Fi in the cabin only steps from the tipi and free parking on the premises.

From the rental, guests can easily access a variety of hiking, biking, and climbing trails in the surrounding forests, fishing spots in the nearby river, and lots of other outdoor activities.

One of the best parts about staying at this property is the chance to explore one of Norway’s untouched regions. The property sits on the banks of Tessungdåe River, in a forest with easy access to hiking, biking, and climbing paths. During winter months, the region is ideal for skiing.

During their stay, glampers will have access to all the property’s shared amenities and facilities. These include free parking on the premises, a campfire, and a shared kitchen and hangout space.

Glampers will also have access to a unique bathing experience. They will receive dry wood, a water bucket, non-toxic soap, and instructions, and they will be able to use one of the bathtubs outside, on the banks of the river.

Nestled in a valley and surrounded by mountains and forest areas, the property is ideal for hikers, mountain climbers, and bikers, as the surroundings are filled with trails and paths galore.

Watersports are just around the corner, as the property sits on the banks of the Tessungdåe River, where glampers can go swimming and kayaking.

Fishers can stay close to the property or head to Hardangervidda National Park. The entire area is filled with rivers and lakes and is ideal for catching trout and arctic char. Glampers can fish with nets and rods, from the land, or from a boat.

Evenings are best spent in one of the hammocks at the property, grilling, or sharing stories around the campfire.
