The room has a calming and warm ambiance, including a charming handmade double bed. With the addition of a full-size sofa bed, there is enough space for up to four glampers to enjoy the rental. There is a full, private ensuite bathroom, and the wood-burning stove gives the room a rustic aesthetic while also providing some heat for those cooler months of the year. This eco-friendly rental also boasts handmade furniture, all built from recycled materials.
Outside, glampers have access to a shared verandah, as well as a barbeque for some al fresco dining, and there is even a play area for the kids. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, and guests can also opt to have breakfast provided each day.
The facilities at this glamping site are all in keeping with the eco-friendly ethos of the hosts, and they were built using local timber and recycled materials. There is an outdoor, safari-style shower block nearby, which, although covered, give way to sights and sounds of the surrounding nature. Guests will also find compost toilets, recycling, and compost bins on this glamping site.
While staying at this site, glampers will be provided with bedding, towels, and basic cooking equipment. That being said, it’s advised that guests bring a light raincoat, a warm sweater, and a flashlight. Other useful things to think about bringing include a Portuguese phrasebook, sunscreen, and a beach towel for river swimming.

Deer and wild boar can be spotted, as can eagles, buzzards, lizards, and praying mantis, as well as lots of butterflies to name but a few.
Whether hiking or cycling through the trails, there’s much to discover. Popular trails include the Schist Villages trails, and climbers might be especially interested in the cliffs and caves of Buracas do Casmilo. In nearby Pedra de Ferida, there is a 30-meter high cascade with pools and a nice picnic area. Additionally, the glamping site is just a five-minute drive from the natural swimming pool of Louçainha, which is safe for children. The water comes from a mountain brook, and in the summer there are lifeguards.
For more cultural activities, glampers can head out on visits to Coimbra, Tomar, Fátima, and the Monastery of Batalha. There are adventure activities available in the nearby area as well. Inquire about kayaking, quad biking, hiking, and cycling opportunities, as well as fun activities for the kids. For an afternoon on-site, glampers can indulge in holistic therapy and massage treatments with a fully qualified therapist, a nice little indulgence that will take any holiday to the next level.
