This gorgeous, secluded rental is nestled in an olive grove on more than five acres of land along the banks of the stunning Lake Alqueva, about 40 minutes from Estremoz, Portugal. Glampers will find the winding Lucefecit River bordering the property and running into the pristine lake. Lake Alqueva is one of the largest reservoirs in all of Europe and is surrounded by cork oaks, holm oaks, and other gorgeous trees. Guests flock to the lake to enjoy the fabulous water sports or go hiking in the wooded trails.

The village of Rosário is just over a mile from the property, where glampers can grab a bite to eat or roam the local shops. Glampers should be sure to visit the town of Monsaraz as well, which has a preserved medieval town-museum.

Glampers will find themselves right next to Lake Alqueva, a huge reservoir where they can go sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and so much more. There are also plenty of hiking trails, where guests can explore olive trees, oak trees, and other native trees and plants. Mountain biking is also popular in the area, along with fantastic birdwatching. Birders can often spot quail, the Red-legged Partridge, the Bee-eater, the Great Grey Shrike, the Woodchat Shrike, the Corn Bunting, and the Stonechat flitting amongst the trees. At night, glampers should be sure to enjoy the spectacular night skies that are perfect for stargazing, as the area is a protected natural area with very little light pollution.
